Which website platform should you use?
There are so many website platforms out there, so how do you know which one to use? Here are a few things to consider to help you make the best decision for your business.
Many platforms do not allow you to sell or transact on your site. This means you will have to set up an extra e-commerce store or have two stores to have your marketplace on a separate site.
What are you selling or showcasing on your website? If you are showcasing beautiful projects, detailed customer case studies or projects, and you have a selection of services you offer your clients, we suggest using our options, including Squarespace, Wix or Duda. It depends on the next question: What additional content or functionality will you need on the site or in the backend?

If you need a site to host and display your portfolio, with a few simple pages and a blog, we would suggest using Squarespace, Wix or WordPress.
If you need to be able to sell and transact on your website, we would advise using Shopify, as it allows you to sell instantly on your site.
The last thing you need to consider is the experience you want for your customers. If you like the idea of adding video or interactive functionality to your site, this may limit your options.
You may already have a preference from our list of platforms, but if you do not, we will help you select the best option for your small business. If you want to organise a website workshop, contact us now and let’s talk through your requirements.
